I am an energetic, friendly, and mature Canadian English coach with over ten years of coaching experience. 🙂

I am a coach, not just a teacher! Learning is more important than teaching. It is my job to motivate, encourage, and engage you in presenting, questioning, and storytelling.

My career history includes training as a commercial fixed-wing aircraft pilot (multi-engine, IFR) and about a decade of financial accounting in the Canadian oil & gas industry. I chose to return to a teaching role.

When I am not working, I enjoy day-tripping, pencil sketching (pencil and only only), exploring local areas, reading, and crossword puzzles.

I have about 11 years of teaching and coaching experience:

✅ 7+ years in-classroom in Mexico, Canada, east Asia, and the Mideast

✅ 4+ years online with 6,000+ lessons delivered to learners aged 17 and older

I have a recognized Bachelor's Degree in Administration (commerce/business) from Athabasca University, an accredited public Canadian university.

I now hold two TEFL (120+ hours each) certifications.

Student-centered and technically-minded, I am an English coach who makes use of storytelling! I'll help you to tell your stories and listen to other people's stories.

By telling your stories, you'll be improving your speaking, pronunciation, phrasing, self-awareness, and vocabulary.

By listening to other people's stories, you'll be improving your listening skills, phrasing, world knowledge, and vocabulary.

Our sessions together will be quite laid-back, fun, and interesting! I like to share a laugh when possible. Learning a language takes effort, but it doesn't mean we can't have some fun. 😁
