Tutor BIO
Hi! My name is Charmi and I am from Toronto, Canada. I'm always looking for new ways to make learning fun and engaging.
I have experience teaching children and adults, creating engaging and personalized lessons tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you want to improve grammar, pronunciation, conversation skills, or prepare for exams, I will guide you while keeping learning fun and motivating.
I have been tutoring and teaching English for the past two years to kids, teenagers, and adults. I love teaching because I get to meet new people from all over the world and learn new cultures. I specialize in daily conversations and casual talk, helping with grammar and punctuation. This can range from greeting and introductions, phrases for day-to-day life, or help in improving fluency. I can also help with exam preparation, such as taking the TOEFL exam. I try to be very calm, relaxing and patient, all while being friendly and enthusiastic to help build your confidence.
As a professional, I work in the Finance industry in Toronto in Investment Banking. In my spare time, I love travelling and have been to over 50 countries. I also like reading, watching TV, hiking and playing football.
For trial lessons, please book 25 minute lesson as they are the most efficient to see if we are a match!
I have 3+ years of teaching experience, teaching kids and adults alike, and am TEFL certified.
My approach emphasizes strategies to meet students’ needs. Specializing in English, I help students improve skills such as reading, grammar, pronunciation, learn concepts and exam preparation (i.e TOEFL Exam).
Join me on an exciting journey to enhance your English skills! Together, we’ll explore daily conversations, improve fluency and grammar, and make learning enjoyable in a great environment!
